Planter's Punch and Postcards

So my birthday is next Monday, July 8th and I've chosen to keep the celebration somewhat simple this year since my family threw me the most "Awesome 70th" party last year.

This year a few friends, my kids and grandkids will join me for a little food, drink and campaign work! What? On my birthday? Yes, we're going to address 200 postcards to voters in Rowan County. Nov 5th will be here before we can say ".....and the winner is...!" So let's all grab little opportunities to make a difference, to help candidates who stand up for what is right and who promise to be for the people!

Please consider hosting your own party to write postcards, get donations, create social media posts or to put a plan together for registering new voters!

I need volunteers...NOW!!!

'wondering how you can help? I need volunteers to send texts. This is super easy! You'll create a Google Voice number first so your personal phone number is not exposed. Some people have phone service that prevents the number from being seen anyway, but if you don't, Google Voice is the best solution.

We will not have to type in any text. We are simply sending an image. The image is the graphic design for my yard signs (pictured below). I will give you a list of 100 numbers. You might break up the task by sending 20 per day for 5 days. You will keep your list and each month you will resend, to keep the image and the name, CHESLEY in front of the voter until Nov 5th.

My sister in Atlanta has already sent texts for me, to 1250 voters in Precinct 04-13.

People don't answer their phones as much these days, but when this graphic pops up, there is nothing one has to do, no reading, no responding.

You can make a real difference by helping me reach voters in District 83! Please email me at chesleyfornc@gmail.com to sign up!

Can you say "Free Fish Fry" 5 times without getting tongue tied?

Well neither can I! So we won't ask you to do that.

All you have to do to attend this event is show up! Ray Council, my Campaign Manager is hosting a Free Fish Fry (sandwich and drink/1 serving per person) at Council Business Center, 703 S. Main St., Kannapolis, NC 28081 on July 27th at 1pm.

Come out for a bite to eat and allow me to meet you , and find out what issues most affect you and your family.

The campaign committee appreciates the generosity of Mr. Council and requests that you give a donation (any amount) to the campaign on that day if possible. Contributions will be used to purchase ads so our message will reach more voters. Donations can be in the form of cash if under $50 or by check in any amount made to Committee to Elect Joanne Chesley and mailed to 242 Oak Ave # 125, Kannapolis, NC 28081. Donations can also be made through Act Blue using the QR code below.

Good News!

DELEGATE CHESLEY

I am happy to announce that I will be serving as a NC Delegate to the Democratic National Convention in Chicago this August. Of course that is when we officially place President Biden's name in nomination for the Presidency. I ask that each of us make a concerted effort to support this president despite some of the concerns we may have. The fact is, President Biden has brought a high degree of stability to our country after 4 years of chaos. Let's face it, the alternative is not an option with which we can live.

ENDORSEMENTS

To date, I have been endorsed by:

Mr Amos McClorey, former President of the Cabarrus County Chapter, NAACP

Lillian's List

Equality NC

Black Political Caucus

Our MO GREEN EVENT in June was a huge success! It was so nice to see so many of you there. I appreciate the kindness of Ms. Ashleigh Hines and her family for the venue, the music provided by Guy Davidson, the food catered by James Sullivan, and the hard work of Ray Council, Jeanne Dixon, Andy Craighill Middleton, Wendy McConnell, Amos McClorey, Mercedes Herrington, and Jennifer Carter. Thank you to all who made contributions that will allow us to keep up our voter contact and messaging. Thanks also goes out to Mo Green, candidate for State Superintendent who did an amazing job touching our hearts and souls on the topic of education. Thank you Misti Williams, Mo's campaign manager for the logistics.
